This 2 day, face to face, course is designed for those not currently practicing travel health but interesting if gaining a basic understanding of what is required to carry out a safe and effective consultation. It will also help with decision making with regards to vaccines and malaria advice.
Following the pandemic and restrictions, the desire for travelling again has never been so great and aiding your patients to have a healthy and safe trip is a key role of practice nurses.
The course will cover risk assessments, food and water borne diseases, travellers diarrhoea, air borne diseases, insect bite avoidance, zoonotic and other diseases, as well as examining specialist groups. This course will be interactive with the opportunity to explore recourses, website and examine case studies.
