NHS Kernow Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) team are conducting environmental audits for general practice, to support and promote high quality care to maintain patient safety and ensure environmental cleanliness is maintained. This service is not mandatory and is part of the new IPC team to help support/guide practices with environmental audits.
The team will be using the Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust environmental audit tool, which can be found in the Infection Prevention and Control CQC Inspection Preparation Pack for General Practice.
Audits have been temporarily postponed due to current system pressures. We hope to reinstate these visits as soon as possible.
