Diabetes Foot Care Resources and Training


Currently Unavailable Due to Module RefreshDiabetic Foot Screening – Interactive Assessment programme (provided by E-Learning for Health). This assessment will take approximately 30 minutes to complete and has been developed to provide an interactive online assessment tool. A complementary e-learning programme is also available.

The target group of healthcare professionals includes Primary Care practice nurses and healthcare assistants. The programme provides a comprehensive assessment tool for all healthcare professionals who care for people with diabetes.

This programme is also available to NHS healthcare staff via the Electronic Staff Record (ESR). Accessing this e-Learning via ESR means that your completions will transfer with you throughout your NHS career.

Diabetes Foot Screening – Foot Risk Awareness & Management (FRAME) e-learning The FRAME e-learning provides a more detailed option for those who wish to develop a more in-depth understanding of the diabetic foot.

This e-learning aims to provide an interactive way of learning and uses animations and case scenarios. There is an assessment involving case scenarios at the end of this module which the learner may opt to undertake and which, if passed, gives a certificate of completion.

Primary Care Diabetes Skills Confidence (DiSkCo) Builder offers individuals, teams and networks a comprehensive tool to assess diabetes competencies for each member of staff delivering the diabetes clinical service. The tool links to relevant training options to close competency gaps. It provides a simple route to identifying and meeting upskilling needs for PCN diabetes services.
