As a partner, the clinical commitment is both very manageable and variable, with triage, acute, chronic, management and research sessions available throughout a given week.

Currently, a full-time partnership post attracts 7x sessions per week. Flexibility, however, can be accommodated with any new potential partner, who has a wide-ranging skill set.

All partners have 7 weeks holiday each year, with an additional 1 week allocated for study leave.

We are an established GP training practice, currently hosting 3x GP registrars, of which the majority are ST-3 placements. All 3x of our GP partners are established GP trainers. We have a good reputation for providing a supportive and dynamic package of GP training, specifically for those individuals who are seeking a fellowship post, after securing their MRCGP qualification.
We also provide Physician Associate training for Plymouth University, specifically for 2-year students who are looking to further development their primary care roles within a PCN.

We are a member of North Kerrier (West) PCN which comprises of 1x other surgery namely
Carn to Coast Health Centre, which collectively provides a full range of supplemental primary care staff, for its growing patient population (currently approx. 38,000).

Godolphin Health are well represented within this tight well-run PCN and so have already embedded a variety of ARR’s roles, including clinical pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, social prescribers, first contact physiotherapists, physicians associate, mental health practitioners and paramedics, into our own primary care team.

Considered as a ‘jewel in our crown’, Godolphin Health also provides the clinical research hub for Mounts Bay Medical Ltd., a network of nine Cornish GP practices working together to deliver primary care clinical research……….. at scale.

Mounts Bay Medical Ltd., is the largest primary care clinical research provider in the UK, focusing upon pivotal phase 3+4 studies. Recent trial work includes definitive childhood immunisation programmes and innovative C-19 treatment regimes, contracted by the NHS and which notably have secured publications with NEJM and BMJ.

As a partner you will have the opportunity to be involved as an investigator and to support the running of hub at Connor Downs Surgery. Previous experience of clinical research in primary care would be an advantage but is not a requirement as full training would be given. It should be noted that MBM hub based at Connor Downs Surgery, attracts a top-slice which secures a significant additional income stream for the Godolphin Health partnership.
