Falmouth and Penryn PCN is looking to recruit two full-time WTE clinical pharmacists to join our team. We believe this is an exciting opportunity for motivated and forward thinking pharmacists to work in clinical, patient facing roles with additional opportunities to develop and manage medicines’ optimisation services and to work with us to drive the PCN into the future.
Our PCN has a population of over 47,000 people set on the beautiful south coast of Cornwall, incorporating 4 practices in close proximity, with excellent inter-relations and a long history of working together. Our population is diverse compared to other areas in Cornwall, with varying levels of socio-economic status, young families, elderly patients and university students all of whom make providing care very interesting.
We have experience of working with Clinical Pharmacists and would be happy to offer an induction period and GP mentoring to the right individual. We can also offer flexibility of hours, job sharing and occasional remote working when needed.
Ideally you will be an independent prescriber with experience in primary care and hold a post-graduate diploma in Clinical Pharmacy. Alternatively, the successful applicant will be supported to enrol in the 18-month CPPE Primary care pharmacy education pathway with access to the HEE funded independent prescribing training.
Falmouth was named as the best place to live in the South West by the Sunday times in 2016, it was noted for its buzz, and thriving new industries as well as the sea views, beaches and marinas.
