Business Admin Apprenticeships – Port Isaac Practice

Hours: Full Time (Fixed Term)
Salary: In Line with National Minimum Wage.
Closing date: 04/08/2021

We have an exciting opportunity for 2 Business Admin Apprentices to come and join our team.  Based mainly in our Port Isaac GP practice but also working across Wadebridge, you will have the opportunity to undertake a range of admin duties, while working towards a Level 2 or 3 Business Admin/Customer Services qualification.

We are a busy Practice, running across the two sites, with a multidisciplinary team made up of Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists, Healthcare Assistants and reception and support staff.  You will learn while you work, from our friendly and experienced staff.  We believe in growing our own and are experienced in supporting apprentices through their qualifications to a permanent role within our practice.

Both roles involve a wide range of administrative duties, depending on the role you choose.  These include telephone reception, taking messages, dealing with patient enquiries, and booking appointments, taking stock deliveries, or supporting the dispensary team with the prescriptions.  You will need 5 GCSE’s at grade A-C/4 or above in any subject including maths and English. You must have excellent communication skills, be polite and enjoy working with people and as part of a team.

Your apprenticeship qualification will be with one of the local colleges and you will be required to attend and complete your qualification as part of the role.

We have two roles available.  Please see the relevant job descriptions and state on your application which job you would like to be considered for.  If you are looking for a new challenge, or for your first job after school or college, we want to hear from you.
