Advanced Nurse Practitioner – Oak Tree Surgery & Pensilva Health Centre

Hours: 18.36 Hours Per Week
Salary: Competitive - Negotiable Depending on Experience

Summary

Oak Tree Surgery and Pensilva Health Centre are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our friendly and dynamic team.

Our aim is to provide high quality healthcare for all. We are a large innovative practice operating from two sites situated in South East Cornwall with a great mix of rural and market town patients.  We are within easy distance of the picturesque south coast and the stunning north coast with rugged moorland in between, fantastic for an outdoor lifestyle whilst still within a reasonable visiting distance of cities like Truro and Plymouth.

Job Summary:

The post holder is an experienced nurse who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the general practice. The post holder will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process. They will work collaboratively with the General Practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership as required. In order to work at this level NMC requirements for advanced practice must be met.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

Essential:

  • Full NMC Registration
  • Degree Qualified (Advanced Clinical Practice)
  • Independent Non-Medical Prescriber
  • Membership of professional body

Desirable:

  • Relevant Masters level degree
  • A detailed understanding of a General Practice environment
  • An understanding of QOF framework
  • Experience of using EMIS Clinical System
