Health and Wellbeing Support/Funding for General Practice Teams
The Greatest Wealth is Health
Work plays a crucial role in our lives, and not just as a source of income. It provides us with a sense of purpose and achievement, as well as boosting our confidence and self-esteem.
Working also provides us with an opportunity to socialise and build friendships with our colleagues. Therefore, it is important that we get opportunities to spend time collaborating with others, which in turn allows us to focus on important topics, one of which is health and wellbeing.
One of the best ways to do this is by giving people a chance to express their thoughts, feelings and opinions. This drives self and team reflection and stimulates the generation of ideas/goals to improve the overall health and wellbeing of everybody.
The good news – Kernow Health CIC have secured a pot of funding which will enable PCN’s/individual practices to give something back to their teams. This can be done via training, health and wellbeing activities, educational resources…the list goes on.
The bad news – there isn’t any!
Stuck for ideas, you can find further information and a selection of proposed activities via the following link Health and Wellbeing Support
Training Hub Courses
In addition to the proposed activities, Kernow Health’s Training Hub has an array of non-clinical courses that will help develop individuals both personally and professionally, and offer approaches that can aid improvements in Health, Resilience, and Wellbeing.
Please note – if you cannot find a course that fits your requirements (you’ll be hard pressed given the variety), please do reach out to the Training Hub and they’ll be more than happy to discuss your needs [email protected]

To close, a fitting line from Jerry Springer – “Till next time, take care of yourselves and each other”.
