Building on our previous Masterclasses we have changed the format for our 23-24 programme to a 3-hour session to enable more learning and conversations to take place. It is delivered by Jo Redgrave of Sevenstone HR, a Fellow CIPD member and ILM Executive Coach, who has over 20 years’ experience of working in HR and regularly delivers training to practices locally on behalf of the Training Hub.
This course is aimed at Practice Managers, Strategic Managers, HR Managers and Line managers with People management responsibilities working in Primary Care. It focuses on good practice recruitment, interviews, and onboarding. It is designed to allow for interaction and sharing of good practice approaches. You will receive a workbook to complete as part of the session which will include prompts for the discussion during the session and any personal notes.
This session will cover:
- Understanding the complexities of recruitment.
- Impact of bias and the importance of a structured approach.
- Resourcing candidates – top tips and pitfalls.
- Preparing great interview questions.
- Using other assessment methods.
- Getting ready to welcome a new starter.
Please ensure you have a microphone and camera to be able to fully participate in these sessions. As these sessions are interactive there will be the use of discussions and break out sessions.
