Simple Management of the Menopause in General Practice – 1st December 2022

While the menopause is a natural stage of life, the fact that each women’s experience can be different, makes diagnosis, treatment, and management a complex area for clinicians.   This course provides clinicians, including GPs, Nurses, AHPs and HCAs,  with an overview of the management of menopause in General Practice, with lots of hints and tips and an opportunity for discussions through case studies on various topics such as bleeding and when to stop HRT.   It is a 2-hour session held virtually via MS Teams.  The sessions are delivered by Dr Jo Parry, a local GPwSI in women’s health, particularly the management of the menopause.  She is part of the local menopause peer support group and is passionate about improving women’s experiences of the menopause.

This course will cover:

  • HRT take up, symptoms and benefits
  • Running a simple menopause consultation
