RESTORE2 Full training – 10th May 2024

This course provides an overview of the full RESTORE2TM tool designed to assist care providers to identify and manage the care of people with deteriorating health.

RESTORE2 uses “soft signs” of deterioration, the recording of physical observations, calculation of a National Early Warning Score (NEWS2) and an escalation protocol to help you to raise your concerns using SBARD, a structured communication tool. This online session aims to provide an overview of the full practice to help recognise and most effectively care for people with deteriorating health.

This training is appropriate for registered nurses and non-registered care staff who have undergone training and are deemed competent in undertaking physiological observations. It will enable attendees to gain the appropriate knowledge, skills and confidence to commence application of the RESTORE2 tool in their place of work. The British Geriatric Society, NHS England and the Academic Health Science Network all recommend using RESTORE2TM to recognise and escalate deterioration.
