This session will focus on a framework for conducting effective interviews, what do you need to do to prepare for an interview, the importance of establishing a good rapport and connection with candidates, the use of different styles of questions to get the best out of candidates. We look at Competency based questions and using probing and follow up questions and how these can help us to assess the skills, experience and potential in any candidates. We will also consider what we are looking for in a ‘great answer’ from candidates. Finally, we will cover how to identify constructive feedback for candidates – whatever the outcome of the interview.
