Recruitment – Best Practice – 21 January 2022

In this session we will look at the key factors which contribute to any successful recruitment activity.  We look at the importance of clearly understanding and defining the vacancy requirements and what is required from the very beginning.  We will take some time to consider different methods and approaches to finding suitable candidates, and how as employers we are needing to work in new ways to make contact with candidates, including via social media platforms.    Finally, we will also look at the importance of effective Induction and OnBoarding for new starters.

This course is aimed specifically at Practice Managers and Line Managers with people management responsibilities working in Primary Care in Cornwall (including line managers in Kernow Health CIC).  It is a 90-minute virtual interactive session, with the emphasis around good/best practice and why these areas are important for a Line Manager to focus on.  It is a useful refresher for those with experience and an introduction for new managers.  You will receive a workbook to complete as part of the session which will include prompts for discussion during the session and any personal notes.
