All of us conduct more regular performance conversations that we realise – those often ‘informal’ every day or every week discussions about priorities and workloads. Many line managers also hold regular team meetings, huddles and/or 1:1 supervision based sessions with teams. All of these are, or can be, Performance Conversations. In this session we will look at the purpose, approach and impact of conducting regular positive and productive performance conversations – and how, by adopting a strengths based approach this elevates the impact and creates greater levels of engagement and motivation. We will also look at the importance of clear goals and how to provide positive and productive feedback.
