‘Passport to Primary Care’ is a Cornwall Primary Care Training Hub initiative, supporting access to primary care roles for newly qualified health care professionals/returners, those with previous experience in different health care fields, alongside those interested in non-clinical roles with no prior healthcare experience.
Passport to Primary Care is a multi-professional introductory training programme, which is delivered through pre-course learning and interactive virtual sessions involving presentations, videos, case scenarios and quizzes to consolidate learning. Participants are signposted to a variety of educational and training resources and following the course, they can access a range of training from Cornwall Training Hub’s prospectus based on their individual requirements.
The ‘Passport’ programme is delivered via a Core Topics Module, recommended for all those wishing to participate in the Passport programme. The core module consists of pre-work in advance of the virtual seminar. This is followed two Optional Modules covering topics which participants can opt to attend based on their job role and interests.
Delivered via MS Teams, the schedule is as follows:
- Core Topics Module – We recommend that you complete the pre-course work in the morning in advance of the virtual interactive seminar which will be taking place on Wednesday 14th September, starting at 10.30am and will close at 5.00pm.
- Optional Module 1 – Essentials for Non-Medical Professionals Working in Primary Care, Wednesday 21st September, 9.00 – 11.00
- Optional Module 2 – Long Term Condition Management and Health Promotion in Primary Care, Wednesday 28th September, 9.00-11.00
Upon booking, you will automatically be placed onto all the core and optional modules. Please let us know (by emailing [email protected]) if there are modules that you do not wish to attend.
