Dermatology in Primary Care (Virtual Learning) – 16th May 2024

This course is aimed at all Advanced Practitioners working in community settings.

Many of us struggle with skin rashes. We feel poorly skilled and undervalue our experience and instinct. We present a logical and functional approach to diagnosis.

Using images and case-based teaching, this day is designed to start the process of identifying and managing skin conditions, building confidence and developing an approach that is based on understanding. The session will cover:

  • The anatomy and physiology of skin
  • An approach to identifying the rash
  • Allergic skin conditions: Eczema and the rest.
  • Infections of the skin.
  • Oddities and what to look for.
  • When is it skin cancer?

The day will be delivered via ZOOM using a range of techniques to ensure the day is informative and relevant using real results,  discussion groups and mini-lectures.

This training is delivered by Colin Roberts, GP and Associate Professor In Advanced Practice at Plymouth University. Your booking details will be passed onto Colin so that he can invite you to join the Zoom meeting.
