Excellence in Practice launches!

27th September, 2021

Finding it impossible to step away from the hamster wheel in General Practice? Excellence in Practice is for you.

After the extraordinary year of 2020, General Practice has been required to go above and beyond to care for its patients. Kernow Health CIC (KHCIC) is now offering member practices support to regroup and rebuild through the new Excellence in Practice (EiP) programme.

Every practice has both strengths and development opportunities – we want to help you identify and deliver the changes that are right for you. And we have a whole range of tools and techniques to support you and can help you decide what to prioritise.

What's on offer?

Working alongside the Training Hub, you can choose a facilitated away day to take stock and plan ahead, access self-assessment tools to recognise strengths and areas for development – this could include HR and Finance checklists - or discover how well your practice is doing against a range of clinical indicators used by commissioners and the CQC. The programme can be tailored to the needs of your individual practice and our experienced associates, Pam Smith and Neil Parsons, will be available to guide you through the process.

Who are we working with?

We are working in collaboration with Kernow LMC and NHS Kernow to ensure a complimentary, joined up service that enables practice support from the right expert, first time.

How much does it cost?

Much of the support included in EiP is free to our member practices. Where a service is chargeable, as a CIC we are not for profit and therefore members don't pay VAT on the costs. We are also able to offer help in acquiring funding.

How can I get involved?

The EiP programme is a developing offer with a continual improvement ethos. If you have an expertise relating to general practice or are aware of good practice then we would like to hear from you!  We aim to develop a wide knowledge base of expertise and good practice to support general practice resilience and sustainability.

How can I find out more?
