Our aim is to work with Commissioners and Providers across our patch to ensure the voice of general practice is heard and that our shareholders views are represented.
We are represented at all levels within the STP process and are part of the whole system resilience network.
We want to see community services that work; where our community teams are integrated with our practices who exert control over their community teams for the good of our patients; we will be involved in helping to design services that can be delivered in the community such as Diabetes; Dermatology and Rheumatology.
We know that many of our GPs want to work in a portfolio manner within a family of local services that are clinically led by local General Practice. Having a vibrant local portfolio of such services is critical to attracting and keeping GPs in Cornwall. Examples are: the Referral Management Service, the Acute GP Service, the Out of Hours Service / 111 and a Locum Chambers.
We will provide direct support to our Practices that allow them to be more efficient and make use of our central resources and skills. Our Practices have told us they want us to focus on education and training, HR support, management of small contracts, Public Health commissioned services, IT, business development, Locum availability and CQC administration.
